Brazoswood Quarterback Club

The Brazoswood Quarterback Club (BWQBC) through the organization of people and fund raisers help support the Brazoswood Football Program. The Quarterback Club has purchased video cameras and stands, software, servers and the new run through over the past few years for the program. The Quarterback Club also gives out scholarships to selected recipients.

Homecoming Bonfire – October 23rd
Homecoming Game – October 24th against Clear Creek
Varsity Locker Decorating – October 27 after the BWQBC meeting
Homecoming Dance – November 1st
Senior Pictures for Banquet video – Due November 11, 5 pictures/senior player, email to Alicia Sanchez or give her CD. asanchez@brazosportisd.net
Football Banquet – December 11, 6:00 pm at LJ Civic Center
 

General Meetings
Meetings will start at 6:00 pm, and will be every Monday night that follows a football game in the Main Cafeteria.

09/01/08 – Labor Day - No Meeting
09/08/08 – General Meeting – 6:00 pm - freshman players will be introduced
09/15/08 – General Meeting – 6:00 pm – all teams will practice and then go to pep rally
09/22/08 – General Meeting – 6:00 pm – JV players will be introduced
09/29/08 – General Meeting – 6:00 pm – Varsity players will be introduced

Tickets
Tickets to Varsity out of town games can be bought at 9th grade campus from Donna Lacey and at the high school from Rhonda Firkins until Thursday. They can be purchased at Slade field at the sub-varsity games from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and on Friday's from 8:00 am - 12:00 noon @ Hopper Field.

Slade Field Concession Stand
We will be manning the Slade Field concession stand this year. All sub-varsity parents are expected to sign-up to work a shift when their child is in town. Blue team parents will work during the silver team game and Silver team parents will work during the Blue team game. When your team’s representative comes around, please sign up for a game or you can buy out for $20 and we will hire someone to work for you.

Pancake Breakfast
The Pancake Breakfast is our biggest fund raiser! Thanks for the big turn-out!

It was a huge success thanks to the following two chairperson volunteers:

Football Banquet
Our next special event will be the annual football banquet on December 11, Thursday, at the LJ Civic Center, starting at 6:00 pm. All varsity and sub-varsity football players are encouraged to attend! Tickets will be sold in advance only at BWQBC meetings.

Senior parents need to start putting together pictures of their son for the slideshow. A maximum of five pictures per senior player needs to be turned in by November 11 to Alicia Sanchez. Email to asanchez@brazosportisd.net , or hand her a CD.

Scholarship Committee
The Quarterback Club officers will put together the scholarship committee that will consist of the following volunteers that are current booster club members:

Game Day Football Programs
The BWQBC has chosen to go a new direction this year with their football programs. With the partnership of Platinum Marketing, the BWQBC will be producing this school’s first full colored football program.
