Final exams for the first semester begin on Monday, Jan. 12th.  See the final exam schedule for dates and times for each final.  Finals on Monday are B1 & B4, Tuesday, A1 & A4, Wednesday, B2 & B3, & Thursday, A2 & A3.  There will be early dismissal on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 14 & 15, 2009.1/5

Hey all of you Buc Basketball Fans welcome back. While you were gone on break the Bucs won a few more games along with the Championship of the BISD Holiday Classic. The Bucs finished non district play with a 16-2 record. The game vs. Clear Creek will start at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6. Come out and support your Bucs in the first district game of the year.  1/5
 
Over the holidays, your Lady Buc basketball team continued to rack up the wins! The Lady bucs won 3rd place in the BISD Classic with Helen Tau being named to the All-Tournament team. They also beat Clear Brook and Dickinson in District play. Your Lady Bucs are now 3-0 in District. Way to go Lady Bucs! 1/5

On December 14th, 17 AFJROTC cadets from Brazoswood High School went to the VA Hospital and delivered packaged gifts to the veterans. The following cadets attended:

Juan Villarreal, Randall Goodson, Tiffany Ross, Taylor Hiroms, Brandon Jones, Ryan Hemphill, Stephanie Ayler, Jennifer Thirtle, Casey Hall, William Ruiz, Natasha Ruiz, Emily Gunter, Joshau Thomas, Victor Nguyen, Ryan Beaty, Tanya Jones and Cody Smith.

Brazosport College students! You need to go and register at BC as soon as possible! Register before noon, Dec. 19. If you delay, you will end up paying a $25 late registration fee after the holidays. If you don't have a dual credit form please see Mrs. Phillips in her new location in the 9th grade counseling office. You also need to make sure that you pay by 5:00 p.m. Jan. 5 or your college class will be dropped from the college schedule. 12/8
 
Upper classmen that plan to participate in track & field this year should contact Coach Theriot in room 237D main campus. After School Track practice will begin January 12th. 12/5

Cacophony, the Brazoswood online magazine which publishes student art, photography, poetry, prose, short stories, music, and more! is now accepting your submissions. Bring submissions in digital format to Mrs. Hubert in 119B and show the world your talent! Also, students interested in serving on the board which selects entries to be published may come by 119B for an application. Cacophany rocks and so can you! 11/19

Prairie View A & M University is offering a summer program for anyone interested. You must be graduating in 2009. See Mrs. Trahan in the Senior Office. 11/14
 
Can you type incredibly fast? At least 30 words per minute? If you would like to test out of the Keyboarding prerequisite for most computer classes, come by 119B to make arrangements and find out more about it. Walk-ins are accepted on most B day mornings at 7:30.  You may email Mrs. Hubert for more information, as well.   11/6
   
Students, if you receive a d-hall for being tardy to class, please take your signed d-hall slip to your assistant principal's office after you have completed the d-hall so you will not face further consequences. 10/27
