My name is Dora M. Diaz and I have been a
teacher for 27 years. I graduated in 1980 from Laredo
State University with a B.S. in Education and with a
certification in Bilingual Education. I started working
in Laredo as a first grade teacher and went back
to college to get my certification in Special Education
in 1982. I
continued my education by going back to college so that
I could get my Masters in Early Childhood.
I have nine hours toward my Masters and I need just
two more classes to get it. I am married and my
husband’s name is Tomas and I have four children. They
are: Tommy, Erika, Adam, & Mathew Diaz. I am very
happy to be teaching here at Gladys Poke Elementary
and
I enjoy working with these wonderful students and
faculty.
