H.S.E.P. (High School Equivalency Program) is the Brazosport Independent
School District “in-house” GED program. The class curriculum is designed to
prepare students to take the GED (General Equivalency Diploma) test. The class
is divided into the subject areas tested by the GED – writing, reading, math,
science, and social studies. The HSEP class is a combination of computer based
instruction, teacher led instruction and small group work. Students attend the
HSEP class 12:30-4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Brazosport College offers GED
testing on Wednesdays, September through June. The cost of the test is $65.00.
Students are required to have an official government ID such as a Texas State ID
or driver’s license to take the test.
