Beutel Elementary
We are one of twenty public and private schools in Texas, ranging from kindergarten through twelfth grade that have received the very prestigious designation of being named a 2007 National Blue Ribbon School. Beutel Elementary was nominated by the United States Department of Education for sustained achievement over the last five years. All nominated schools were required to undergo a grueling application process during the previous school year. On Thursday, October 4, Superintendent Joe Ripple, Principal Kathy Vickers and BISD Board Members Joe Welch and Jay Luce announced to the Beutel faculty and students that Beutel Elementary had been named a National Blue Ribbon School. There are less than 300 schools nationwide that achieve this designation. In November, Beutel Elementary will be honored in Washington, D.C. at the National Blue Ribbon Awards Ceremony.
