Meanwhile back at the ranch......

What a fantastic year it has been here on the Ranch!  We were chosen as a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education for our sustained academic achievement for the last five years.  This is also the  Fiftieth Anniversary of our school. Then our principal Ms. Vickers was named Elementary Principal of the Year for BISD!

A note about absences
Parents remember that you must send a written excuse for every absence.  Excused absences are doctor visits and illnesses.

Tardies
Each tardy counts as an absence.   If you child has an early morning doctor or dentist appointment which causes them to be tardy, have the doctor or dentist send a note so that the tardy can be marked as excused.

Blue Ribbon School

We are one of twenty public and private schools in Texas, ranging from kindergarten through twelfth grade that have received the very prestigious designation of being named a 2007 National Blue Ribbon School.  Ms.Vickers and one of our teachers went to Washington, D.C. in November and received our Blue Ribbon.

Beutel Elementary was nominated by the United States Department of Education for sustained achievement over the last five years.  All nominated schools were required to undergo a grueling application process during the previous school year.  On Thursday, October 4, Superintendent Joe Ripple, Principal Kathy Vickers and BISD Board Members Joe Welch and Jay Luce announced to the Beutel faculty and students that Beutel Elementary had been named a National Blue Ribbon School.

Make School A Positive Experience

Would you like to ensure a more rewarding and positive school experience for your child?  Check the backpack daily.  Then read, read, read, with your child.

Exemplary Schools

Beutel Elementary has earned the rating of Exemplary for the 14th consecutive year in a row.  This rating is a Texas Education Agency rating that is given for high achieving schools.

Successful schools do not exist in a vacuum.  We could not do it without our diligent, hard-working students and concerned parents that consistently support the efforts of the Beutel staff.  Thank you!

Please be safe!

Parents are asked NEVER to place a child in danger by walking through a traffic line or traffic area to pick up or drop off a child.  The few minutes you save are not worth the risk.
Our traffic lines are cleared within 7 - 10 minutes of the bell.  Please use the circle drive for pickup if at all possible.  By following pickup procedures you are keeping ALL of our children safer and we thank you for your patience and support.

If you wish to walk up and get your child, please park in the front parking lot and walk down a sidewalk to get your child safely.

Vehicles should not park close to the cross walks or impede their view in any way.

PLEASE HELP KEEP ALL OF OUR BEUTEL CHILDREN SAFE!

THANK YOU

Office Check In

Upon arrival at Beutel all parent volunteers and visitors are required to check in at the office and receive a name tag.
This policy allows for increased student safety and keeps our focus on instruction.  Help us to minimize instructional interruptions by dropping off student folders, lunch money and forgotten items in the office.

Thank you for cooperating with this safety measure!
