Things are Buzzing in the Third Grade
What’s the “buzz” about the third grade at
A. P. Beutel? Bees and flowers, that’s what! Students will grow and study their own Brassica plant with one of our science kits. They will also build a bee or flower model for a science project.
The “buzz” in reading is chapter books and the opportunity to earn 100 All-Star reader points! The concepts of multiplication and division are a special part of the math program that the third graders look forward to learning.
Have you heard the “buzz” about Lagniappe? Lagniappe, pronounced lanyap, is a French word for “a little of everything.” Lagniappe includes our enrichment units about the rain forest, chocolate, origami, insects, and more. Field trips to the planetarium and the rain forest make for a fun year in the third grade!
