Accelerated Reader Certification Requirements

Independent Reader

* Read three 1.2 or higher level books independently and pass quizzes on one's own.

*Accumulate 10 points. These points include the points earned for the three books. The rest of the ten points may include Read To and Read With Books

Rising Reader

* Read three 1.6 or higher level books independently and pass quizzes on one's own.
*Accumulate 10 points. These points include the points earned for the three books. Only books read independently will count toward certification.

* Have Independent Reader Certification.

* Read three books at a 2.o or higher level, worth at least one point each and pass the quizzes on one's own.Only books read independently will count toward certification.

Advanced Reader

*Read three books at a 3.0 or higher book level worth at least two points each.  Only books read independently will count toward certification.

Star Reader

*Read three books at the 4.0 or higher reading level worth 4 or more points each. Only books read independently will count toward certification.
