Homework

Kindergarten
Homework is sent if a student is absent from school or extra reinforcement of basic concept is needed. Home readers will be sent with the students as his/her ability develops.

1st Grade
Homework schedules will go home at the beginning of the week. No homework will be assigned over weekends or holidays.

2nd Grade
Special projects or reports may be assigned throughout the year. Most children will only have homework if they haven't finished their daily work during class time. Some classes may give homework or extra credit occasionally. Each student will need to study at home for tests when the book review is sent home.

3rd Grade
There will be assigned homework before most tests. Other homework will be assigned as an extension or drill in other areas as determined by the teacher. Parents should check Daily Assignment notebook for homework.

4th Grade
Homework can be given when a student has not completed an assignment during his/her class time. Homework may be assigned in reviewing for a test or for extra drill and practice. Special projects may also be assigned during the year. Parents should check Daily Assignment notebook for homework.
