Our music program at Bess Brannen strives to do all these things plus more! Our Music program will provide developmental skills both mentally and socially , so our students can perform more confidently in their lifetime adventures. The following information is presented in an effort to help you better understand our program and answer frequently asked questions.
Music is an integral part of the elementary curriculum. ALL students are expected to participate in a regular Music program. This is the requirement of the Texas Education Agency.

Conduct Rules
1. Enter and leave quietly.
2. Raise hand to speak.
3. Keep hands and feet to yourself.
4. Participate and do your best.
5. Listen and follow directions.

Grading
Grades are given for the following
1. Participation in class.
2. Listening skills.
3. Passing oral or written tests.
The first 80 points must be earned in class. There are many opportunities to earn extra points that can be added to the grade.

Supply list
2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students will need
1. Folder with pockets and brads
2. 2 #2 pencils

Choir
All Bess Brannen 4th graders are invited to participated in choir. The requirements are passing all subjects and attending required practices. Practices are usually held before or after school.
