Constellations


 

Andromeda Andromeda, located off top left corner of Pegasus. The Andromeda Galaxy is located near here. And on a clear night can be seen as a blur.
Capella, the main star in Auriga is a binary star, two stars orbiting abound each other. Auriga
Canis Major Canis Major is in the shape of a dog, the top left star is it's head. This star is called Sirius, and is 8.7 light years away.
Canis Minor is made of of two stars. The lower one is Procyon.  Canis Minor
Cassiopeia Cassiopeia looks like a "W" written in the sky, it is found in the Milky way.
Jupiter is currently in Gemini, the zodiacal sign of the twins. The top star Castor, the top left star is Pollux.  Gemini
Orion

Orion, well know from Men In Black where there is a reference to Orion's Belt. The Orion nebula (right) is also located here. The top left star is Betelgeuse is a red super giant, 425 light years away. The bottom right star is Rigel.

The Great square of Pegasus. These four stars are easily recognizable in the sky. It can be used to find Andromeda Pegasus
Pisces Mars (right) is currently in Pisces, the zodiacal sign of the fish. 
Saturn is currently in Taurus, the group of stars you see are the Pleiades, an open Cluster, which are all the same age.  Taurus
Ursa Major Ursa Major, Also known as the Big Dipper is the best known constellation in the sky. 
Ursa Minor, Also known as the Little Dipper has Polaris, the North Star. Polaris is directly above the north pole. Ursa Minor
