Curriculum


        Web Mastering is a Technology Application course that teaches students the art of web design. They learn how to use many computer programs that include:

Computer Graphic

Graphics:
   
Students will start out learning foundation computers terms and Internet terms, then they will move on to learning how to use certain graphic software and make a number of graphics, including a "Fruit Face".

HTML:
    After learning how to use the graphic programs, the students move on to learning how to do HTML. They take it slow and start out learning basic tags and move on to more difficult ones later. They build on to their knowledge with individual short assignments until they know many of the HTML tags. By the end of the first semester, the  students will create a website using nothing but HTML.

Web Authorizing Tools:
   
After HTML, the students learn how to use Web Authorizing tools such as Microsoft FrontPage. This program helps the student develop the web site quicker. The students will have to do a series of short assignments in FrontPage and then design an original web page in it.

Other Programs and Skills:
   
Later in the year, the students learn how to use Javascript and DHTML (Dynamic HTML) in their web sites to make web pages interactive.  New this year, students will also learn Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver MX.
