Web Design:
Web Designing is an ever changing thing. People are
constantly creating new programs, new HTML tags, and new techniques for creating
web designs. The primary teacher of web design, Mrs. Hubert, is always taking more
classes on the subject to stay on top of the game.
Web Mastering was introduced to B.I.S.D. five years ago by
Mrs. Hubert, and the class has evolved considerably since then.
Going Further:
If a student has a special talent or interest in web
design, he or she may go further into the study of web design by applying for an
independent studies course. The course is also taught by Mrs. Hubert and they
must have already taken a Technology Application course to apply to get in.
What it's for:
Web Design is a tool that could come in very handy in
someone's life time, and the knowledge of web design is something most people
would probably like to have. Many businesses today are also found on the web,
and somebody has got to design all those web sites. Many, many Businesses are
looking for someone to design a web for them. This is a highly sought after
skill, that would be most useful to you in the future.
Prerequisites:
Web Mastering has a few prerequisites to get
into the Class. The class is only offered to students in grades 10-12, and you
need to have taken a keyboarding class prior to entering the course. Web
Mastering will fill the requirements for the students Technology Application
credits.
