Air Force Junior ROTC

The success of JROTC would not be possible without the dedication of its many Aerospace Science Instructors. Officer Instructors are retired officers with at least a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15 years on active duty. Almost 90 percent of them have master's degrees with backgrounds in teaching and extensive experience working with youth groups.
The Aerospace Science Instructors are also responsible for the Leadership Education portion of the AFJROTC curriculum. They provide instruction in drill and ceremonies and in the principles of leadership and management. They may also give career and performance counseling, supervise cadet activities and take care the corps administrative requirements. In short, the staff instructors have devoted themselves to the cadets while on the job and during their off-duty hours. Their hard work and devotion have resulted in a JROTC program which is highly acclaimed on the local and national levels.
