Kremmer Michael
Kremmer teaches Resource English to our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students
at CIS. He is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University. Coach Day
at A.P. Beutel was his inspiration to become a teacher. Mr. Kremmer also
loves to play all kinds of sports. He has also taught in Bastrop, Del
Valle, and in several other places in BISD. |

Justin Bennett
Justin Bennett teaches 6, 7,
and 8th grade resource language arts at our school. He got his
degree at Sam Houston State University. Mr. Bennett wasn't a
teacher he says he would have been a fireman. He enjoys sports, fishing,
and spending time with his wife. He has worked at Brazoswood as an
aide in the behavior management classroom also.

Bhattacharjee
Arpita Bhattacharjee teaches resource math and science. She
says, "I like to work at CIS because I like the
friendly staff." This is her first year to teach at
CIS. Mrs. Bhattacharjee has taught school for three
years. She misses her old staff and students but she says
that she will like it here just as well. The college that
she attended were the State University of New York at
Buffalo & University of Houston at Clear Lake. Mrs.
Bhattacharjee picked teaching as her career because she
has always volunteered at her kid's school and was
involved with host program at Lake Jackson Intermediate
School before she decided to teach. The best part of her
day is the morning tutorial. She also enjoys
participating in Reading Renaissance in the morning and
it puts her in a happy mode through out the day.

Shanna Binnion is a
L.I.F.E. skills teacher at Clute Intermediate School. Mrs. Binnion
attended Stephen F. Austin State University. Mrs. Binnion began her
career at BISD as a speech pathologist. She enjoys working as a
classroom teacher because there is much more of an opportunity to get to
know her students and their families. Mrs. Binnion says that her
students make her smile.

Mary Beth
Jeffers enjoys being a special education math teacher at
Clute Intermediate School. She attended the University of
Houston. She has also worked at Polk Isabel High School,
Wild Peach Elementary, and Brazoria Intermediate. She
likes the kids uniqueness and the parental support. She
does not like the monstrous load of special education
paperwork.

Frances
McMahon travels to all twenty schools in BISD. She
assists teachers, special education students, parents,
and staff using technology to enhance learning. She
received her BA from Sam Houston State University in
Huntsville and her M.E.D. from Lamar University in
Beaumont. Ms. McMahon taught second grade at Martin
Elementary in Beaumont before teaching special education
at Brazosview. She likes to use the technology of today
to help make students successful. She does not like all
the paperwork and traveling on cold rainy days.

Ms. Page teaches 7th & 8th
grade ESL at CIS. She graduated From Brazoswood and Texas A&M
University. Before returning to the area, taught 2nd grade in San
Antonio. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and
friends, going to the beach, and traveling. She says what she loves
about CIS is how hard the staff works to improve the student's lives. |

Sarah CamfieldMrs. Camfield
is the Deaf Education teacher at CIS. She teaches all grade levels(5th,
6th, 7th, 8th) and all subject areas (Math, Language Arts, Science, and
Social Studies) to the students in the Deaf Education program. Although
she had never been exposed to deafness growing up, she decided when she
was a junior in high school that she wanted to be a teacher for the
deaf. She received her teaching degree at Stephen F. Austin State
University in Nacogdoches, TX. She says the most challenging part of her
job is planning for so many different lessons for each class period
every day. The thing she likes most about her job is that the class size
is small and she can get to know each student really well. Mrs. Camfield
loves animals. At home she has several pets including birds, dogs,
rabbits, and two big aquariums with a variety of fish and eels! Her
favorite pastimes are fishing, camping, reading, going to the beach, and
watching her young son experience life. |

Burgess teaches intermediate Compass students at CIS. She teaches
self-contained students in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Ms. Burgess
graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She has taught at
Bexar County Juvenile Justice Alternative Education in San Antonio,
Northside ISD in San Antonio, Floresville ISD as well as Brazosport ISD.
She has taught all grade levels and academics. She loves the challenges
and victories each child brings her way.

Guerrero says that ever since she was in the third grade she knew that
she wanted to be a teacher. She says, "It has been my pleasure to work
for BISD since 1986. I teach 5th-6th grade Bilingual Language Arts and
History. I'm not only a Clute Cougar, but also a University of Houston
Cougar." This is her first year at CIS. She says she is very happy to be
here. Her favorite things to do are spending time with her family and
traveling. Southern California is her favorite travel destination. |
