Connie Lamoureux
Ms. Lamoureux is a speech therapist at CIS. She
has a Bachelors and Masters degree in speech and Hearing Sciences from
the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. We asked Ms. Lamoureux,
"Why did you become a speech therapist?" She answered, "Because I wanted
to help people, and it seemed a perfect way to blend an interest in
singing and an interest in science." She also said that if she could be
anything else besides a speech therapist she would be an opera singer.
Her favorite thing about working at CIS is the fun staff, and the
equally fun students. She has felt very welcome here. Her hobbies and
interests include singing, theater, sewing, and playing with her
children.

Dianne Thompson's duties
here at Clute are to provide primarily educational, and vocational
guidance to students when needed. "The students here at Clute are
willing to accept challenges and work towards their personal goals. I
consider it a privilege to be part of that process," she says. What she
likes most about Clute are the people who learn here and the people who
work here. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Southwestern
University in Georgetown, Texas, and Masters in Science in Counseling
from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. What she likes most about
the duties she has at Clute is being able to frequently interact with
students about concerns that are important to them. Mrs. Thompson began
here career in education at Danbury Middle School as a 7th and 8th grade
English teacher. After nine years as a teacher, she became a counselor
and began work at Brazoswood High School's Ninth Grade Center when it
opened in 1998. Mrs. Thompson has been at CIS since 2000.

Janice South
Janice South is the Guidance
Office clerk at CIS. She attended Brazosport Junior College and
previously worked at Brazoswood High School. She loves working with
students and their records and enjoys working on the computer and
running report cards and schedules. She also enjoys reading and
gardening. |

Tracie Falcone
Mrs. Nichols is a counselor at
CIS. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Behavioral
Studies from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She became a
counselor because she enjoys working with and helping young people. Her
favorite thing about working at CIS is the energy and enthusiasm of the
student body. We asked Mrs. Nichols, "What would you be if you weren't a
counselor?" She answered, "Upon retirement I would like to own an
antique store." Her hobbies and interests include antiquing and
traveling. |

Jaclyn Legendre
Jaclyn Legendre is a school
psychologist at Clute Intermediate. She attended Nicholls State
University in Thibodeaux, Louisiana. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology and a Specialist's Degree in School Psychology. We asked her what she enjoyed the most about her job and she said,
"Having the opportunity to help children and their families." Ms Legendre
also says it takes patience, organization skills, hard work, and
collaboration with other professionals to be a school psychologist. |

Courtney Clover
Courtney Clover works as an ARD/Intervention Teacher. When Mrs.
Clover was asked what she enjoys most about CIS she said she loves
working with a great staff and assisting students to improve and
experience success. She has also worked at Velasco, Rasco, and
Lanier Middle school. Mrs. Clover's hobbies include shopping,
decorating, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Clover
likes the easy going atmosphere of Clute Intermediate. |
