children act like children. Don't expect them to be

Jolene Bankson
Mrs. Bankson is a seventh grade
science teacher at CIS. She attended Texas A&M University. She became a
teacher because she wants to help students gain a love for learning
science and I would like to help the students build self-esteem and pride in themselves. We asked,
"If you could be anything else besides a teacher what would you be"? She
answered, "I would like to be a captain of my own yacht, and take people
out fishing or scuba diving." She also loves fishing, playing

5th grade science teacher. She loves teaching. She has taught at Madge
Griffin Elementary and in Angleton as well as CIS. She graduated from
the University of Houston Clear Lake with a degree in Literature. Even
though her degree is in reading, her favorite subject to teach is
science. For fun, Ms. Sirmans enjoys traveling, snow skiing, reading and
spending time with her family. Her favorite part about Clute
Intermediate is that she gets to see all of the 6th-8th grade students
that she previously taught. It's amazing how much some of them change
from 5th to 8th grade. |
