Barbara Monte' is the computer literacy teacher at C.I.S. Mrs. Monte' has also taught language, reading, math, journalism, and P.E. Mrs. Monte' graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. She taught at New Caney Middle School before coming to C.I.S. Mrs. Monte' loves computers and likes to teach kids about them. She teaches computer literacy because technology is something that every one should know how to use. Mrs. Monte' loves the faculty of C.I.S. To her they are just like family. Mrs. Monte' also teaches technology to teachers and is the Tech Rep at CIS.
Michael Peltier
Michael Peltier
Michael Peltier is a technology education teacher at C.I.S. He says one of the most challenging parts of his job is keeping students organized. The most enjoyable part of his job is helping students accomplish a task and reach a goal. He loves teaching shop and does not want to do anything else. Earlier in his career, he coached seventh grade football, basketball, and track. He loves it here at C.I.S, and plans to stay until his retirement from education.
