Grants for Great IdeasThe BISD Education Foundation is excited about our 9th Grants for Great Ideas grant cycle, beginning October 2, 2023! Eligible applicants, please see the information below. CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT INTENT TO APPLY Anyone interested in submitting a grant proposal to the Education Foundation must first submit an Intent to Apply no later than Friday, September 22nd. Intent to Apply applications will be reviewed on Monday, September 25th. Approval/ denial notifications will be sent out no later than Wednesday, September 29th *You must receive an approval from your Intent to Apply before submitting an official grant application.

Grants For Great Ideas
Applications accepted October 2nd - October 31st, 2023

Purpose:

The Grants for Great Ideas Program is designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches to the accomplishment of program objectives.

Persons Eligible to Apply for Grants:

Individuals or teams of individuals employed by the Brazosport ISD who are involved in the instruction of students or related support services benefiting students.

Eligible Proposals:

Instructional approaches or projected designed to meet the selection criteria (to be announced).

Award of Funds:

The number of awards and the award amounts will be determined by the funds available from the Brazosport ISD Education Foundation. An individual teacher or classroom grant is eligible for funding up to $7500. A department, campus or district level department grant is eligible for funding up to $12,500. 


Due Date:
Grant applications will be available online October 2, 2023 and will be due October 31, 2023. Awards will be made in Spring 2024.

Selection Criteria:
The degree to which the proposal addresses important program objectives. The degree to which the proposal represents a creative or innovative approach to the accomplishment of objectives. (It should address a new project as opposed to one accomplished or under way)The degree to which sound evaluation procedures are incorporated in the proposal. The degree to which the proposal is clear and logical, including (a) specificity of objectives; (b) clarity of description of instructional procedures, methods or treatments; and (c) correspondence among evaluative procedures, objectives and treatments.
