Assessment & Accountability

General Information:

The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) replaced the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) starting in the 2011-2012 school year.  This new testing system addresses legislative mandates outlined by Senate Bill 1031 in 2007 and House Bill 3 in 2009.  The links below will take you to TEA information to better help you understand the STAAR exam.

State Assessment Calendars - This link contains PDF links to all past and present assessment calendars for the state; links are updated as changes occur throughout the year.

Student Assessment Data Portal - This link takes you to a page where you can access your child's entire state testing history should you need it for reference.

Brazosport ISD Community Assessment Page - This page contains complete information about the assessments that BISD students take at each grade level including both state and local information.  Community members can also find the BISD Data Dashboard on this site containing a wealth of data about the district including student performance and discipline information.

Texas School Report Cards -  Select a school or district at this site to see how well different schools and districts are doing.  Each report provides an in-depth look into how campuses and districts are performing overall and in different areas.
