This is the image for the news article titled BISD Returns to SchoolBrazosport ISD has been busy making plans for the return of the more than 12,000 students to our schools after the two weeks of being out due to the weather and flooding of hurricane Harvey. We hope that all of our students and families remained safe during the storm and flooding. As some students have been displaced from their homes, plans have been made to ensure a safe return to schools.

We are looking forward to all students returning to their regular school schedule on Monday, September 11. BISD is fortunate that all of our schools will be open and ready to begin again.

After a disaster, returning to school is a positive step for all children. For families that are still displaced from their home and can not safely attend school, their student‘s absences will not count against them. BISD has also stocked school supplies at each campus for students that may need them. Child Nutrition will provide breakfast and lunch for all students free of charge through the end of October.

BISD will continue to communicate through the BISD website, Facebook, Twitter and through SchoolMessenger. We are BISD STRONG!
