Brazosport Independent School District is harbored at the
mouth of the Brazos River on the Texas Gulf Coast. Brazosport is said to be
located "where Texas began." The area, with its temperate coastal plains, its
lush green forests and its many waterways, is known for its compelling history,
inherent beauty and diverse background.
The Brazosport area includes the world's largest chemical complex-
Dow Chemical. Other major industrial businesses in
Brazosport are BASF, Shintech, and Rhodia.
With an average temperature range of 42-92 degrees F, an average rainfall of 52.3
inches per year, 44 miles of beaches, and parks and amusement areas throughout the area,
Brazosport is perfect for raising a family.
