Calculator Policy
A graphing calculator is necessary if you are taking the AP
Calculus AB or Calculus BC
Exam. A graphing calculator with statistical
capabilities is expected if you are taking the
AP Statistics Exam.
A scientific or graphing calculator is permitted for parts of the
AP Chemistry, Physics B, and Physics C Exams.
Students may bring up to two calculators
to these exams, but they may not share calculators. See the
individual subject restrictions on the next few pages for more
information on which calculators are allowed.
Calculators are not allowed for any other AP
subjects.
Refer to the AP student site (www.collegeboard.com/ap/calculators)
for the most current list of approved graphing calculators. The
specific makes and models of calculators listed there can also be
used on the AP Statistics, Chemistry, Physics B, and Physics C
Exams. The list of unacceptable machines included there may not be
used on any of the exams.
