Fleming | The S.T.A.R. (Stop Television and Read) program is one of our most active programs. The goal of the program is to promote daily at-home reading. This program is overseen by the S.T.A.R. Committee. Students from Pre- K through the 4th Grade may participate. Students in Pre - K through 1st Grade read for fifteen minutes a day. Students in the 2nd through 4th Grade read thirty minutes a day. Each year an average of 85 students successfully completed the STAR program and received a T-Shirt at the end of the year.
