can't think without it". |
 | To ensure the meals served to our customers are attractive, tasty, nutritious and
affordable. |
 | To promote nutrition education and healthy eating habits to the students of
B.I.S.D. |
 | To ensure that meals are prepared in a safe and sanitary environment. |
 | To provide a neat and friendly atmosphere to all of our customers. |
Student Accounts
Brazosport I.S.D. uses a computerized meal account system. Students may deposit
money into their meal account for the purchase of meals and extra items.
Students will be given an account number and may deposit money in any dollar
amount. Checks should be made payable to the child’s school – child nutrition
(example: Clute Intermediate – Child Nutrition). Student account transactions
can be printed at your request, please contact your Child Nutrition Manager for
details. Parents may request that a message be placed on their child’s account
to prevent students from purchasing extra items such as drinks or snacks. Please
contact the Cafeteria Manager for more information.

Charge Policy
Students are allowed three charges, $5.25 for Elementary and
$6.00 for Middle School students. If a student's account exceeds the
charge limit, the student will be given an alternate meal (cheese sandwich and
milk or a vegetable, a fruit, and milk). Students will be given notices as
their account balance becomes low or negative. Please contact the Child
Nutrition Manager at your child's campus for more information about your child's
account balance. No charges are allowed for breakfast or at Intermediate and High School
campuses. Students who do not have money are encouraged to borrow from a friend
or to contact the Cafeteria Manager who will provide them with a small sandwich
and milk.
