The Mission of the Lake Jackson Intermediate Library is to prepare students to be effective users of ideas and information and to promote reading for pleasure and obtaining information.

LJI's librarian is Vanessa Swenson.
Assisting is Nygtra Robinson.

The LJI library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The multi-media room is available for class use and student use during the day. The librarian administers the required book tests for each grading period.

For home access, obtain the password from the school librarian.

For the 1st six weeks, they’ll only have one test grade over the genre book (50% project & 50% in-class writing assignment).

For the 2nd-6th six weeks, students will read two books for two test grades.

1 test grade = 50% project & 50% in-class writing assignment over an assigned genre book
1 test grade = AR test over a 2nd book of any genre
