Elizabeth Royer - Fourth Grade Teacher

Hi!  My name is Elizabeth Royer and I teach 4th grade Reading here at Jane Long.  This is my fifth year at Jane Long and I have enjoyed being here so much.  Everyone is wonderful!  I am very excited about this year. Not only am I only teaching Reading (I’ve taught Writing before, too), but I am also teaching our reading class in a whole new way. It’s going to be so much more fun and exciting! The students will be doing fun activities and lessons daily. One way to help your child succeed is by reading with them every evening for just a few minutes. Your child will love having your attention and will be increasing their performance and skills at the same time!

Now… a little about me: I attended my first two years of college at Brazosport College in Lake Jackson, where I earned my Associates in General Studies.  I then transferred to Texas A&M University where I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  I was very active while in college.  I was in the honor sorority of Phi Theta Kappa, Student Body President at Brazosport College, an Aggie Buddy (mentor), and was involved in several other clubs at A&M. One of my favorite things to do while at A&M was attend Aggie Football games! I never missed a home game for the 3 years I was there. I loved and still love everything about Texas A&M! J

Some of my favorite pastimes are playing in my jewelry, reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and taking pictures.  I love jewelry so much that I sell it as a part time job – it’s so much fun! Reading and scrapbooking are my time fillers that help me relieve stress. As for traveling… I have been to many different places. California, New York City, Colorado, Wyoming, Florida, Washington D.C., England and Ireland are just a few of the places I’ve been able to see. Taking pictures just falls right into traveling, because you definitely can’t go anywhere special without a camera!!! I can’t wait to log in more travels and adventures with husband, Todd!

Well, that’s about it! Hope you enjoyed your glimpse into my life. I can’t wait to get to know each and every one of you better. We’re going to have a BLAST!!!
