Teri Wells - Third and Fourth Grade Primary Basic Skills

My name is Teri Wells. I am a graduate of Baylor University, with a B.S. in Education. I also earned a Masters in Reading from the University of Houston, Clear Lake. I am so happy to be celebrating my 6th year here at Jane Long Elementary with my husband, Raymond Wells, our librarian.
Before working here, I taught 15 years in Alvin. I taught one year of sixth grade language arts and twelve years of fourth grade. The last two years I was the Reading Specialist.
Now I have a similar, though expanding job. I work with 3rd and 4th graders to assist with reading, math, and writing. I am also the dyslexia designee.
Another of my responsibilities is to coordinate and increase parental involvement at Jane Long Elementary. So, parents, if you need some ideas on what you can do at home to help your child excel, come talk to me! If you would like to help other students, we want you here! Just let us know and we’ll put you to work! Together we can make the difference in the lives of our children!
