Welcome to Mrs. Greer's Second Grade Class
Mrs. Greer's class is improving their reading so that they can become independent readers. They are learning to write papers with some super sentences and paragraphs. It is also exciting to learn cursive writing!
In math they sharpen up those skills mastered in first grade such as patterns, addition, subtraction, geometry, measurement, money and time. Second graders are keen on learning and showing what they already know about multiplication and division.
They have great "Hands on Science" kits which they look forward to during the year. They learn about bubbles, weight and measurement, and one of their favorites is the butterflies. They also learn more about their community, state, country and the world. It's a busy year!
