Jane Long Elementary is now an RSVP School!
So, what does it mean to be an RSVP School? Well, RSVP stands for Retired Senior Volunteer Program. RSVP is a program under the Texas Senior Corps, which calls on individuals age 55 and over to help in a variety of ways. As an RSVP school, Jane Long will be proud to receive senior volunteers to tutor and give extra help to our students for a few hours each week. So now, in addition to our great PTO Volunteers, we will also be host to volunteers from the Texas Senior Corps! This is a great service which will greatly benefit our students and school! Thanks to the Texas Senior Corps, and all future RSVP volunteers! Would you like to become a member of the Texas Senior Corps, or to receive more information on the process of becoming a volunteer?
