Being a Title Teacher at Polk Elementary allows Mrs. Weeks the opportunity of working with third, fourth and fifth grade students. She also teaches first grade SEARCH. She has been at Polk for 16 years and in BISD for 24 years. This is her 28th year to teach. Prior to coming to BISD, she taught in schools in Houston, West Columbia, and Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Her husband of 34 years is Dr. Gary Weeks, a local dentist. They have two children Matt and Andrea. Mrs. Weeks enjoys teaching, especially at Polk. She says, “Polk Elementary is a great school; we have wonderful students, families and teachers.”
