I have come to Polk Elementary from Polk County, Texas, where I was raised.  I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Stephen F. Austin University and Orff Certifications from Belmont University, Nashville, TN.  My teaching career spans 27 years with elementary music and Jr. High/High School band. 

I enjoy music of all genres, reading, walking, camping, and kayaking.  I have one daughter and one grandson.  I’m very excited about teaching here at Polk Elementary!
