Dyslexia
Coordinator:  Glenda Gallegly

Description of Program: BISD provides screening for dyslexia on all campuses. Students who are identified as dyslexic are provided a reading intervention program to meet their needs.

 

Eligibility Criteria: Any student (K-12) who exhibits characteristics of dyslexia and needs additional help in reading.

 

Staff Names: Contact Glenda Gallegly, Dyslexia Coordinator or campus principal

 

Services Offered: Every campus provides a reading intervention program for identified dyslexic students.  These programs provide basic reading, writing, and spelling methods necessary for  the dyslexic students.
