Jodie Moore's passion for children and education has fueled a
successful career; one that brought her to O. M. Roberts as assistant
principal last Fall. "I believe every child should be given the
opportunity to excel, and we as educators have a responsibility to find
how each child learns and to educate them according to their learning
style," she said.
Mrs. Moore received her Associate of Science at Jacksonville College,
Bachelor of Science in Education from East Texas Baptist University and
a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from
U. T. Arlington.
Mrs. Moore has taught kindergarten and worked six years at a home for
children with emotional, behavioral and psychological issues in
Granbury, Texas, where she was the assistant principal at the campus
academy. Before moving to Brazosport, she served as assistant principal
at Willis Point I.S.D. Intermediate. She came to Roberts from S.F. Austin
Elementary where she was teaching first grade.
Mrs. Moore's husband of 17 years is Pastor Chris Moore from Velasco
Baptist Church in Freeport. The couple has two sons: John, 13, and
Jacob, 11. In addition to children
and education, Mrs. Moore enjoys "hanging out" with her family, working
in the yard, gardening and cooking and home improvement projects.
