Brazosport ISD’s
educational access channel,
Bisd-TV, is a channel
graciously provided by
Time Warner Cable
to air not-for-profit, educational information to the Brazosport
community. The mission of
Bisd-TV
is to make educational and community connections by providing
district and campus-level information to our constituents. This
channel can be viewed only through
Time Warner’s
local cable service.
Bisd-TV
programming is created and run through a broadcast multimedia
software called SCALA.
The steps to have information broadcast are:
- Campus personnel submit current and
upcoming events to their
Bisd-TV
campus contact.
- Campus contact formats the information and
enters it in a web-based template for publishing.
- The information is then sent to
Bisd’s
Communications Coordinator for final editing and broadcasting.
If you know of an event or function at your
child’s school that is not showing on the channel,
contact the campus.
We only provide information concerning
Brazosport ISD
campuses and our primary partners,
Brazosport College
and
Community Awareness Emergency Response (CAER).
Procedures and guidelines for
Bisd-TV
are
determined by the
BISD-TV
Committee, comprised of parents, community members and BISD
staff.
