Fluor Donates $20,000 to Brazosport High School Welding Program

This is the image for the news article titled Fluor Donates $20,000 to Brazosport High School Welding ProgramBISD’s Manufacturing Program at Brazosport High School recently received a donation of $20,000 by Fluor Corporation. “We are extremely grateful to Fluor for providing these resources to help ensure our students are career-ready,” said Brazosport ISD Superintendent Danny Massey.  

Fluor is a multinational engineering and construction firm who is committed to raising awareness of the many career opportunities within the welding field, and helping to prepare students for success within that industry.

Brazosport High School Welding Instructor, Jimmy Crainer emphasized, “We are excited to continue our partnership with Fluor and that industry partners such as them see the value in investing in our students and are committed to their success.”

With a grant submitted by Mr. Crainer, the funds provided will be utilized for equipment, materials, and additional resources to support the growing program. BISD is working with local industry to create collaborative learning environments for students, exposing them to career training that will not only prepare them for the future, but allow them to graduate with the proper skills that will greatly enhance their chances to gain employment upon graduation.

BISD is grateful for industry partners such as Fluor Corporation who are committed to ensuring students are better prepared and successful upon graduation.
