This is the first year of the Student Melody Challenge organized by the Brazosport Orchestra in recognition of National Music In Our Schools month. Three melodies from students K-8 throughout the area were chosen and used to create an original piece of music. "Melodic Interactions" composed by Ryan Lindveit, will receive its world premiere performance by the Brazosport Symphony at the Clarion on March 9, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. A native of Lake Jackson and a graduate of Brazoswood High School, Mr. Lindveit is currently working on his Doctorate in Music Composition at Yale University.
