This is the image for the news article titled BISD Students Take It To State With Their UIL Theatrical Design Submissions

This year nearly 1000 students from all over the state of Texas competed in five UIL academic events (Set Design, Costume Design, Hair & Makeup Design, Marketing and Group Design) at the 4A Area Meet. Of Brazosport High School’s ten separate submissions in the regional competition, eight of our students (Angelica Cabaniss, Naomi Dorsey, Priscilla Garcia, Ciara Long-Cozine, Giovanni Martinez, Race McIntyre, Jimely O’Neill and D’Arian Steamer) received a ranking of “Exemplary - Advances to State”!

Hard work and dedication paid off and we are happy to announce that this year out of 130 schools from 81 school districts, Brazosport’s students made us “BISD Proud” by earning five medals in two different categories (Group Design and Set Design).

Brazosport ISD is proud to have Rhonda Church and April Reck leading these students in setting the standard for educational excellence.

Congratulations to the students below:

  • Group Design:
    • D’Arian Steamer - 4th place in Costume Design
    • Ciara Long-Cozine - 4th place in Set Design
    • Priscilla Garcia - 4th place in Hair & Makeup Design
    • Giovanni Martinez - 4th place in Marketing Design
  • Individual Design:
    • Ciara Long-Cozine - 5th place in Set Design
We are so proud of our student-artists’ hard work and dedication to “setting the standard” for excellence and achievement in these UIL Academic events.

Way to go Exporters!
