Brazosport ISD is saddened by the sudden passing of a beloved member of our BISD family, Alford Bonner. Coach Bonner, a proud BISD graduate himself, loved his school district and valued building positive relationships with students.
Alford impacted the lives of so many students over his 19 year career in BISD through his continual encouragement and concern for all areas of their development and growth. Coach Bonner was an inspiration to the students at Grady Rasco Middle School and a role model for the young men that he coached at Clute Intermediate School.
Alford Bonner was so much more than a coach to his students and players, and more than a coworker to his colleagues; Alford was family, and this family will miss his fist-bumps, his smile and his words of encouragement.
Our thoughts are with Alford’s family, friends, students and colleagues. You will be missed, Coach.
