Brazosport ISD will be closed for a Student Holiday and Staff Exchange Day on Monday, January 20, in honor of Dr. King.
Declared a national holiday in 1983, Martin Luther King Jr Day is celebrated on the third Monday in January, always on or near the date of his birth, January 15th.
Students will return to class on Tuesday, January 21.
