This fall visitors and volunteers will see a more robust campus visitor check-in system when they visit or volunteer at any of our 19 BISD campuses. In our continued vigilant efforts to provide safety and security for all our staff and students, we have upgraded our management apparatus to provide more capabilities and faster processing.
Raptor Technologies will continue to administer our District Visitor Management System but the name V-Soft will be removed and you will hear staff refer to the new system as Raptor 6.
Campus visitors can expect the campus to continue the requirement of a state-issued form of photo identification prior to entering district facilities during the school day; but once in the system, visitors can also expect a more efficient check-in and check-out process for entering and leaving the campus and upgraded technology for managing the program. Due to the change of systems, everyone (even our most frequent, long standing visitors) will start over as a new entry in the system. Still we are confident that within a few months of implementation, the results will be impressive.
The enhanced volunteer module of the Raptor 6 gives the campus the added capability of communicating their volunteer needs and utilizing volunteers more effectively. The tracking and reporting of volunteer hours is another beneficial feature of the improved format.
