Altina Cox, LVN, has been named Brazosport ISD’s 2021 Nurse of the Year.
Altina Cox, school nurse at Madge Griffith Elementary, has been a nurse for twelve years and a school nurse for eleven. Her favorite part about being a school nurse is getting to know her students and families while learning about what is going on in their little lives. She loves when former students recognize her as their elementary school nurse. Cox states that, “The best part of my job is getting to know the students. I love that I get to see them grow up and become amazing human beings.” Altina has three grown children, Kylar, Andrew and Delaney, all Brazoswood graduates, and her son Kylar works for BISD in Technology. Nurse Cox is a great asset to BISD and the families we serve!
