Congratulations to 12 amazing student artists in BISD who were recognized as 2021 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLS&R) Art winners. Two of these student pieces were also chosen for the Rodeo’s School Art Auction. Raina Cline and Isabela Damian both from Brazoswood High School will move on to the auction to have their pieces bid on by the public.
Because the HLS&R was canceled due to the ongoing pandemic, the event took place virtually. A record number of artwork pieces ranging from elementary to high school were judged and honored in the categories of Best of Show, Gold Medal, and Special Merit award winners. Plans for the auction format are still being decided and will be announced at a later date.
