On this School Volunteer Appreciation Week 2021, we at BISD want to say a huge “Thank You!” to our volunteers and let them know they are not forgotten. This is the week every year that we join the nation in recognizing those who partner with our educators to make a difference in the lives of our students. We are so thankful for our amazing volunteers and families that help us accomplish our goal of preparing ALL our students to be future ready. We appreciate you not just this week, but every day!
We have missed our nearly 2,000 community individuals who are part of our BISD Volunteer Team. In a normal year both individuals and groups come on our campuses weekly to help with volunteer projects, special events, teacher aid, student learning support and mentoring. Our campuses enjoy the assistance of Parent/Teacher Organizations (PTO’s), Watch D.O.G.S, PALS, Loving BISD, Servolution, Corporate Sponsors, Anchor Dads, Booster Club Members, and LIFT UP mentors to name a few.
We wish we could say thank you in person but for now we’ll say we’ve missed seeing your caring, happy faces and can’t wait to see you back on campuses next year.
BISD is stronger because of you!
