This is the image for the news article titled Brazoswood Robotics Regional Champions Headed to State in JuneBrazoswood Robotics Junior Varsity team (Texas Toast) and Varsity team (Texas Fried Chicken) both competed in the Houston Regional Championship on Saturday, May 22, 2021. The competition was held at San Jacinto College in Pasadena.

Texas Toast made a strong showing at their first ever in-person competition, placing 13th overall, and the veteren team. Texas Fried Chicken, was undefeated in qualifiers ranking third overall and making it to the playoffs where they were able to choose their alliance teams for the finals. Each playoff match is the best two out of three. They won their first two semifinal matches, earning their spot in the final match against the top scoring, number 1 alliance team. They formulated a plan with their alliance partners to work collaboratively, perfectly executing several tasks to earn them the highest single score of the season! They won 1st place in the tournament and will be advancing to the State competition at the Alamodome in San Antonio on June 15, 2021.

Congratulations to these amazing students for winning the Regional Championship and to their Coach Brad Whitehead. We are proud of all of you!
