Congratulations to Brazoswood High School Student, Raina Cline, this year's recipient of the Bruce Good Scholarship, awarded by the Brazosport Art League to honor former Brazosport High School Art Teacher, Bruce Good.
The Brazosport Art League has a wonderful tradition of supporting local students. Each year, southern Brazoria County visual art students are invited to display a collection of their artwork at the Brazosport Art League Gallery for the Bruce Good Scholarship Show.
12th Grade art students select the six artworks that best represent their artistic journeys throughout their high school career to be displayed, and considered for the scholarship. Brazosport Art League members vote for the scholarship winner.
No matter who earns the scholarship, this art show is a celebration of four years of dedication, and it is an opportunity for student artists to have a show in a real art gallery, which means a lot to them.
