BISD and Brazoswood High School Welcomes Coach Joe Dale Cary as the Brazoswood Head Football Coach and Campus Athletic Coordinator
Brazosport ISD is excited to announce that on Monday night, March 21, the BISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Coach Joe Dale Cary as the Head Football Coach/Campus Athletic Coordinator for Brazoswood High School.
“We believe Coach Cary gives our football program a great opportunity to win more consistently and to use football as a tool for teaching players life lessons and character development. Coach Cary has a true strength in his abilities to connect with players, Brazoswood faculty, parents, and our community. He has great qualities in being able to build positive relationships with players, while also holding them accountable for high expectations on and off the field. Coach Cary’s personal values of a strong faith and using football as a platform to make players better athletes, better students, and better people, align perfectly with our mission of Brazosport ISD athletics.” said Superintendent Danny Massey.
Coach Cary has 8 years of successful experience as a head coach in Hondo ISD and Crandall ISD. He also has experience coaching in Aledo, Port Neches Groves, and San Antonio Reagan.
“Brazosport ISD and Brazoswood High School are regarded as one of the best school districts and high schools in the entire state of Texas. There is a sense of school pride and community support that help make this a very special place. The facilities are second to none and are great evidence of how much the community values a quality education and extracurricular programs for students. We can’t wait to get started.” Coach Cary stated.
Athletic Director Alan Weddell said, “The position had over 60 applicants and after a rigorous selection process, Coach Cary emerged as the top candidate among many excellent candidates. Coach Cary is a proven winner and is a great fit for Brazoswood High School and our Brazoswood community. Coach Cary will bring a new era of competitive, playoff and championship football to Brazoswood.”
Coach Joe Dale Cary will officially become a Buccaneer at Brazoswood High School on Monday, March 28th. The Buccaneer Nation welcomes Coach Cary and his family.
