While school is out for the summer, Brazosport ISD’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) center is officially open as of June 2021. With excitement and growing interest in our new CTE center at Brazoswood High School and our CTE Major Giving Campaign, BISD is excited to announce a $100,000 investment from Contech Control Services.

With Contech’s investment in BISD’s Major Giving Campaign, BISD can continue to provide a strong and stable future for students, while continuing to provide pathways to exciting careers within Brazoria County and beyond.

BISD Resource Development Coordinator Aaron Ennis said, “With this investment, BISD can continue to strengthen our construction and industrial programs as well as the Catalyst program that benefits students seeking careers in Instrumentation and Process Technology. We are also excited about growing interest in our new Information Technology programs as well. Our CTE program continues to gain strength and momentum with investors and supporters like Contech.”

For over 40 years, Contech has provided engineering, fabrication, integration, and construction services for analytical, automation, instrumentation, and electrical construction projects to many major petrochemical and refining facilities along the Gulf Coast of Texas, as well as Louisiana, Alabama and Tennessee. Contech employs nearly 1,000 people that are mobilized in these facilities and five office locations in Houston, LaPorte, Port Arthur, Freeport, and Baton Rouge, LA.

“Contech is fully committed and dedicated to the future workforce and community in the Brazosport area. With this investment, Contech can contribute significantly to the growth of the students of BISD and their CTE program,” said President and COO Jason Allen.

BISD Career and Technical Education Director, Jessie Jennings stated, “It’s partnerships such as Contech’s that demonstrate what an amazing community we live in. Their investment isn’t just from a financial standpoint, but more importantly, an investment in our students and belief in their future and success.”
