This is the image for the news article titled German Students Perform at Heritage Festival in TomballThe German World Language Arts students (WLA) of Brazoswood High School performed during the German Heritage Festival this past weekend, which was held in Tomball, Texas. This family-friendly festival had food, games, live music and performances.

Students participating in the WLA German course are taught not only ways in which to communicate in this language, but also experience German culture and customs by actively engaging and presenting activities that inform them of the importance of honoring cultural traditions. Under the guidance of Morgann Swenson, German WLA teacher, students engage in discussions, interactions, and presentations in class while immersing themselves in the culture that surrounds this language. Furthermore, these students have competed in Houston Fest, February 5th where they placed 1st in the couples and 2nd in the group dance category and at the Texas State German competition February 26th, they placed 3rd in couples and 4th in group. We are proud of all of their hard work and accomplishments. Congratulations to you all on a job well done!
