Ms. Thiede has been an advisor for BPA at Brazosport High School since 2010, has served as the Regional Advisor for BPA from 2012-2016, and is currently serving in the Regional Advisor role again as of January 2019.

Amanda participated in BPA in high school, making it to state each year, and nationals her senior year. She then helped form the post-secondary chapter at Indiana State University, qualifying and participating at the national level twice placing in each event. As a teacher, Ms. Thiede has had students qualify for state competition every year since the spring of 2012, has had students qualify for national competition four times and had a student place at nationals once.

Being the champion for BPA that she is, Amanda shared, “Business Professionals of America is a great way for our business students to show their skills and meet students from across the state, country, and even world. It offers them amazing leadership opportunities as well. We have had a regional and state officer as a part of our Brazosport Chapter. BPA is a hidden gem on our campus and I love having my students earn these amazing opportunities to show people outside of Brazoria County what amazing work we are doing at Brazosport High School.”
